Members of the percussion section serve many roles throughout the band program. In the marching band, percussionists serve in the marching battery as well as the front ensemble on the side line. The Hernando Band Program also includes percussion classes at the middle school, percussion positions in the concert and jazz bands, and Hernando Indoor Percussion, also known as HIP.
